Not that this will come as a surprise to any of you who know me at all, but living in Vegas has been one of the best moves I've ever made. I truly love it here, and one of the main reasons is the abundance of free show tickets I've been getting. I highly recommend houseseats.com if you live in town - for $90/year you get two free tickets to any show they get access to, as long as you're quick enough to claim them before they run out. For $160/year you get 4 tickets. I've only been a member for a couple of months, and I've already gotten free tickets to:
- Rush (Mandalay Bay indoor arena)
- Gnarls Barkley (Mandalay Bay poolside venue - possibly my favorite show venue ever)
- Barry Manilow (LV Hilton)
- Smashmouth (Hard Rock Hotel poolside venue - venue kinda sucks but the show was good)
- Bette Midler (Caesar's Palace)
- Blue Man Group (Venetian)
- Toxic Audio (Planet Hollywood)
I also had to miss Elton John because I was out of town all 3 nights that tickets came up for. :( Last weekend they had tix for Warrant and Good Charlotte, but I wasn't interested in the former and was busy the night of the latter. They also regularly get tickets for smaller shows like the comedy clubs downtown and such.
